However, most stylists work behind-the-scenes, so we never hear much about them. To appreciate these hardworking people we have put together 20 celebrity stylists who are responsible for making your favorite stars look good all the time.
1. Toyin Lawani (Tiannah Styling)
Popularly called Tiannah, 31-years old Toyin Lawani prides herself as a serial entrepreneur with interests in designing, fashion consultancy, celebrity photo shoot, and music video styling.
She most certainly has a lot of experience under her belt, styling people from Florence Ita Giwa, Toke Makinwa, Omoni Oboli to Eniola Badmus and many others. In 2013, she was awarded Stylist of the Year by ELOY awards. Lawani has equally styled numerous celebrities for magazines like Wow, Allure, This Day and Complete Fashion and showcased at different Fashion Shows including Africa Fashion Week in Lagos, Music Meets Runway and New York Fashion Show.

2. Jeremiah Ogbodo – Swanky Jerry
Easily one of the best stylists in the game, this image consultant, style influencer, and stylist is the fashionable mastermind behind most of the looks you fall in love with on the red carpet including celebrities like Tonto Dikeh and Juliet Ibrahim. He has also worked with international designers in the likes of David Tlale and Craig Jacobs as fashion director.
4. Ejiro Amos Tafiri
This fast rising stylist is the creative designer of the label that bears her name. She has worked with celebrities like Mercy Aigbe, Toolz, Rita Dominic and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde just to mention a few.
5. Lanre Dasilva Ajayi
Lanre Da Silva Ajayi created her brand in 2005 with iconic designs inspired by the 1940’s, she has since evolved to become a house hold name in the Nigerian fashion industry. The brand has been showcased locally and internationally in the Thisday Africa Rising Festival, London, ARISE Africa Fashion Festival, South Africa and the New York Couture Fashion Week,

6. Jane Micheal Ekanem
Jane Micheal is a well-known fashion stylist as well as a fashion entrepreneur. She is known for her work with Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage among others. However, the top stylist has definitely left a mark so much so that she was recently featured on CNN’s African voices as the stylist behind some of the hottest Nigerian celebrities.
7. Della Sagoe
Deola Sagoe is a haute couture fashion designer from Ondo State. She began designing in 1989 and has since gained recognition for her glamourous, bold and colorful designs. She made a name for herself by designing her mum’s label Odua for ten years and launched her own brand in 2008, in the past. Sagoe has won the “Africa Designs” and the MNET/ Anglo Gold African designs 2000 awards for which she was nominated by Andre Leon Tally, US Vogue editor.
8. Damilola ‘Ms Modish’ Oke
Ms Modish has come a long way, the style consultant says that “fashion is a lifestyle for me” and we can clearly see how true that is. She has styled stars from Waje Iruobe to Bolanle Olukanni. She has also been involved in a lot of fashion brand collection shoots.
9. Godson Ukaegbu
Godson Ukaegbuis Dimeji Alara right-hand at Mania magazine. Though it is difficult to describe Godson without a diagram with many nodes. He is currently Deputy Editor at Mania Magazine where he employs his creative wits and subtle daring tendencies to good use.
As a fashion editor and stylist, a segment of his many expressions where he masterfully articulates the business of fashion as it works in tandem with professional visual communication. 10. Bolaji Animashaun
Bolaji Animashaun is well-known in Nigerian Fashion styling. She has styled hit international TV shows such as MNet 53 Extra with Eku Edewor and former co-host Dolapo Oni as well as styled some of MNet’s top promo campaigns. She has also worked with other talented international stylists such as Sabrina Henry of Arise Magazine and has achieved red carpet and editorial looks with celebrities from Tiwa Savage to Nike Oshinowo. When it comes to fashion runway productions she has worked on all the major shows in Nigeria from Arise Magazine Fashion Week, Lagos Fashion and Design Week, Music Meets Runway other niche fashion events. 11. Lisa Folawiyo
She started her label “Jewel by Lisa” in 2005, she is women’s wear and accessories collection designer. She revolutionized ways to wear Ankara prints, she is an internationally recognized name and brand, having showrooms in Nigeria as well as New York. She has won and been nominated for so many awards alongside top designers, she won the Africa Fashion Award in 2012, nominated alongside Maki Oh and Kofi Ansah. In 2012 she was also featured in Vogue Italia. In 2014, WWD: Women’s Wear Daily named her one of eight emerging talents. In 2015 she was featured in the prestigious BOF500, which is a list of fashion brands that are shaping the international fashion scene
12. Zed Eye
Talented Fashion Designer cum stylist Ngozi Pere-Okorotie, AKA Zed Eye is a London College of Fashion graduate, who we all got to know first as a designer with her Zed Eye fashion label famed for her stand out pieces spotted on top celebrities including Kelis, Shingai (The Noisettes), celebrity hairdresser Tara Smith, even famed British designer Henry Holland sang high praise of her fashion collection.
13. Adebayo Oke-Lawal
Adebayo Oke-Lawal is a stylist cum fashion designer of label Orange Culture. When he is not designing, this young lad is styling high profile editorials for magazines such as Wow! where he is the Fashion Editor. He styled top notch celebrities including Kate Henshaw, Rita Dominic, Yvonne Nelson and more…. Also, he has worked in highly pressure backstage productions of fashion shows such as Music Meets Runway.
14. Abbyke Domina
She’s the CEO of House of Dominus and Domina and has styled top celebrities like Annie Idibia, Juliet Ibrahim, Mercy Aigbe, Beverly Osu.
15. Rhoda Ebun
Rhoda Ebun is one of the fastest rising stylist and consultant in the Nigerian fashion industry. She has worked with celebrities like Waje, Niniola and Vimbai.
16. Tobeena – Harvella Styles
Tobeena is one of those celebrity stylists that rarely show their faces but you know them through their work. With a list of hot celebrity names like Annie Idibia and Toke Makinwa under her styling belt, this pristine style star is definitely on our radar.
17. Tayo Shonekan
A graduate of engineering, but a lover of style, beauty and fashion. Tayo Shonekan is the creative director of Aimas, a lavel that designs hand-finished bags, accesories and hand-decorated T-shirts. Tayo Sonekan is the creative director of Aimas, a label that produces hand-decorated T-shirts, hand-finished bags and accessories. She has also contributed as a fashion and style consultant for several publications like True Love and Today’s Woman, and was resident stylist for Elan the style magazine for the Sunday Next Newspaper. She is currently the Fashion Director of FAB magazine.
18. Tolani Aremu of Artistry by Tolani
Tolani Aremu, better known as Artistry by Tolani is a makeup artist and beauty guru who enjoys adventure and is now pushing her creativity branching out into the world of styling. Tolani was responsible for styling and the makeup of singer and one of the judges of The Voice Nigeria, Waje, throughout the first season of the show.
19. Yolande Okereke
In her late twenties, Yolanda Okereke, though a graduate of Chemical Engineering has turned out to become one of the country’s most sought after stylists. Since she began in 2009 with Monalisa Chinda and Djinee, her clientele has increased sufficiently, including Kate Henshaw, Rita Dominic, Nse Ikpe-Etim, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Desmond Elliot and others on her list.
20. Kike Soyode
Kike Soyode is a fashion stylist moonlighting as a lawyer. She is also a blogger and runs her Stylebyqueens blog with a close friend. She has worked as a Stylist and Fashion Consultant and has showcased her skills at large productions such as Arise Magazine Fashion Week, Music Meets Runway and MTN Fashion & Design Week. She also consults for Lanre Da-Silva Ajayi as a member of the Creative team in the capacity of an Associate Stylist and recently started styling for Wow! Magazine.
