The list is created in no particular order. We have only itemized 50 youths who wielded heavy VISIBILITY and INFLUENCE in the year under review.

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (born 2 July 1991), known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He has captivated the nation with his signature sound ever since he rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013).

Bizzle Osikoya is the co-founder of The Plug Entertainment, a talent management, Music Distribution, Music Licensing, and Event Company based out of Lagos Nigeria. The company manages some of Africa’s great talents like DavidO, Mayorun, Peruzzi, Jinmi Abduls and Djs like DJ Obi, Smallz The DJ and DJ wayne.
His experience in the African music industry has exposed him to various opportunities and he now seeks avenues to extend his knowledge to others seeking a career in the music industry. BIZZLE is an Experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the Entertainment industry. Skilled in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Advertising, Entrepreneurship, A&R, Film, and Event Management.
A strong business development professional with a Diploma focused on Film Making (production & editing) from Digital Film Academy, Bizzle has successfully placed himself in the industry as a major decision-maker and his influence is felt within and beyond the nation.
Toyin Lawani is a Nigerian fashion designer and businessperson. Toyin Lawani was born on March 1, 1982 in Lagos State, Nigeria. Toyin is a graduate of English Language from the University of Lagos.

These businesses were started out of Durojaye’s quest for financial independence and employment creation.

He is a skilled employer of labour and his business empire helps in the creation of more wealth to youths and adults alike.
Seun Fakorede born May 22, 1992 is a Nigerian entrepreneur, speaker, and politician. At 27, he became the youngest commissioner in Nigeria’s history when he was appointed Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State in August 2019. He is the founder and director of non-profit Home Advantage Africa where he advocates for African patriotism among youths.
Fakorede attended Government College Apata, Ibadan. In 2016, he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. He is an indigene of Idere area of Ibarapa Central Local Government Area, Oyo State.
Fakorede is every parents wish and millions of youths across the nation look up to him as a pillar of inspiration. His influence spreads beyond his Oyo state base and on the 17th of January, 2020 he was honoured in Ife by the Ooni of Ife as a deserving youth.
Alexander Chuka Iwobi was born on 3 May 1996. Alex is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Everton and the Nigeria national team. Iwobi was born in Lagos before moving to England at the age of four, following a brief stay in Turkey,and grew up in Newham, London.
His mother is the sister of former professional footballer Jay-Jay Okocha.
Iwobi joined Arsenal while still at primary school, in 2004, and was nearly released by the club at the age of 14 and again at the age of 16. On 27 October 2015, Iwobi made his first-team debut for the club, starting in a 3–0 defeat to Sheffield In the Round of 16 of the League Cup.
In July 2019, after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, he said he was looking forward to returning to club football with Arsenal. On 8 August 2019, Iwobi signed a five-year contract with Everton. According to BBC, Arsenal received a fee of an initial £28 million, rising to £34 million with potential add-ons. With a couple of endorsements here and there, Iwobi is the new face of football in Nigeria and as his influence spreads, hundreds of thousands of youths look up to him for inspiration.
Jeremiah Ogbodo born on the 4th of July better known as Swankyjerry is a Nigerian Celebrity Fashion Stylist known for his work with Tonto Dikeh, D’banj, Ice Prince, M.I, Tu Face, Juliet Ibrahim, Davido and a host of other high profile clients.
Swankyjerry began his career as a celebrity fashion stylist with the launch of his fashion and lifestyle brand, Swanky Signatures Styling in June 2012 and has since then, grown to become one of the most sought after stylists in the industry. Asides from styling clients for red carpet appearances and video shoots, coverage of his work has appeared in many magazines and online publications.
Within a space of two years, Swankyjerry’s impeccable sense of style and expertise as a stylist has earned him the respect of industry critics with nominations and an award to his name.

Olawale Ayilara, born on the 8th of August 1988, is a Nigerian businessman, investor, and real-estate entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Landwey Investment Limited. Olawale began his entrepreneurial journey right from a very young age trying his hands on several businesses before finding his oil in the real estate sector.
This earned him a spot on Africa’s Forbes 30 Under 30 (Business) list in 2018 amongst other achievements. Temitope Ogunsemo is a Nigerian entrepreneur of the Yoruba descent and the Founder/CEO of Krystal Digital, an ICT firm that specializes in application development, an educational technology company that develops and deploys customized and service-oriented software applications as well as IT training for educational institutions in Nigeria.
Tope is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for technology, and he has his presence felt all over the federation, empowering, mentoring and discovering hundreds of ICT wannabes and even operators on several ventures of his organization.
He has partnerships with REMITA, the FGN, Poise Nigeria, Microsoft, Wowbii Interactive, NITDA, NBA and plenty more. He and his company has won several awards such as BEST SCHOOL MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE of the year for 2015, 2017 and 2018, MOST ENTERPRISING ICT ORGANIZATION 2018 and plenty more. Little surprise it was when he was awarded early 2020 by Ooni of Ife with 99 other youths for his impact at positively influencing his society and the Nigerian youths at large.
Asisat Lamina Oshoala MON, was born on the 9th of October 1994. She is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Spanish side FC Barcelona Femení in the Primera División as a forward. She was named best player and was the highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. She was also named best player and second top goalscorer with the Super Falcons team who won the 2014 African Women’s Championship.
Oshoala found success as a forward for Nigeria’s youth teams but made most of her early appearances for the senior national team as an attacking midfielder. She was nicknamed “Seedorf” after male footballer Clarence Seedorf and has also been referred to as “Superzee” by her teammates.
She also won the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year 2015. In September 2014 Oshoala was made a Member of the Order of the Niger by President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan. On 8 June 2015 in Winnipeg, Canada, Oshoala opened her senior FIFA Women’s World Cup account by scoring Nigeria’s second goal in a 3–3 draw with Sweden. Oshoala was also a member of the Super Falcons team who won the African Women’s Championship in 2016 and 2018. She scored three goals in the 2018 Edition in Ghana.
With 4 awards back to back as the African Woman Footballer of the year, she hosts an annual sporting event in Lagos as part of her give back activities, and OSHOALA has continued to influence more youngsters to sports and her strength in building more talents makes her a youth worthy of emulation.
Ubi Ekapong Ofem, born on February 2, 1984 is a Nigerian music artist manager and the founder and CEO of record label Made Men Music Group (Triple MG). A serial entrepreneur, Ubi in 2017, launched a start-up called Instant Pickup, a service which specializes in instant home pickup and delivery of laundry.
In November 2017, he launched Instant Apartment, an online platform that offers luxury apartments for rent. By October 2018, he launched Instant Ryde, an online taxi service in his home town Calabar, Cross River State and Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. In 2016, Franklin was named City People Music Awards’ Music Manager of the Year.
Franklin as a public speaker, was at the Youth Enterprise Conference organized by Nairabet’s founder, Otunba Akin Alabi. He also shared stage with the chairman of First Bank, Ibukun Awosika, and Veteran Nollywood Actor Richard Mofe Damijo at the Hub Business Conference organized by Commonwealth of Zion Assembly. Ubi has a cult followership among the urban and upwardly mobile youths and he is quick to always get things Doug Nanking on his influence, notwithstanding the controversies that’s trailed his personality over the years.
Charles Okpaleke born March 14, 1983 popularly known as CharlesOfPlay, is a Nigerian health economist, Nightlife tycoon, Nollywood movie producer and businessman. Born in Onitsha and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Okpaleke has worked as a consultant health economist for various governmental and non-governmental organizations including the United Nations and Family Healthcare International.
He co-founded the Play Entertainment Network in 2008, alongside his brothers Elvis and Jeffrey Okpaleke. The Play Entertainment Network originally began as a Sports Bar in the heart of Wuse in Abuja, Nigeria in the year 2008. The Play Sports Bar enjoyed tremendous growth and popularity amongst the Abuja elite and with this growth came remarkable expansion that necessitated the birth of the Play Entertainment Network.

In 2019, his movie, LIVING IN BONDAGE hit cinemas and was one of the highest-grossing movies of the year and he also secured the remake of old school classic movies, GLAMOUR GIRLS and RATTLESNAKE. Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (born 16 July 1990), known professionally as WIZKID or STARBOY is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence after releasing “Holla at Your Boy”, the lead single from his debut studio album Superstar (2011). In February 2014, Wizkid became the first Nigerian musician to have over 1 million followers on Twitter.
Starboy Wizkid achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, “One Dance”, which reached number one in 15 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. He signed a multi-album deal with RCA Records in March 2017. News filtered into town in 2019 that he was signed up by Africa’s banking giant, UBA for a whopping sum of 3million dollars, whilst still enjoying endorsements from global brands like CIROC, Moschino and others.
In addition to his solo work, Wizkid has collaborated with several other artists and was featured on the hits “Brown Skin Girl” (with Beyonce), “Energy (Stay Far Away)” (Skepta) to mention a few. He became the first Afrobeats artist to appear in the 2018 Guinness World Records for his contribution to “One Dance”. He also got a Grammy nomination in 2016 for One Dance with Drake. In total, Wizkid has received 177 nominations and won 55 awards and in 2019, he released his EP titled SOUNDMAN, without no prior notice.
In 2019, he sold out his Starboy Fest Concerts in UK, Australia and Nigeria with countless number of youths in attendance. If Wizkids coughs, Nigerian youths want to always know why.
Animashaun Samuel Perry popularly known as brodashaggi was born on the 6th of July. and largely known for his catch phrase “Oya hit me”. BrodaShaggi was born and brought up in Lagos State, Nigeria. As a child, Shaggi had the passion to act drama. Broda shaggi developed a passion for acting at a very early age.
Shaggi was motivated by his late father who taught drama at Mayflower Junior School, Ikenne, Ogun State. Since then, he has acted many roles and played some characters like Inspector Perry, a policeman; Professor Dele, and Akonni Ibadan. This was before he went with the stage name BrodaShaggi. He began to take his acting career more seriously back in school at Unilag.
The comedy skit that made Shaggi so popular is the “Jesus appeared in Mushin” video skit which he was asked by Aunty shaggi what he would do if Jesus appeared in that vicinity. Since then BRODASHAGGI hasn’t stopped proving himself as a phenomenal comedian and shaggi who is also talented with the gift of singing has dropped singles of which ORI, NOR NOR, OYA HIT ME to mention but a few. Shaggi has shared stages with lots of A-List musicians and actors and his strength is further endorsed by reports that superstars and celebs pay to co-act with him as his page buzz helps anyone to build a more impressive CV.

Ayorinde Kehinde Okiki otherwise called DJ Kaywise is a stellar DJ/VJ cum music artiste was born on the 2nd of August,1992. He is an award-winning DJ and is without question, one of the most blazing DJs in the class of street bounce. DJ Kaywise is especially a trailblazer and obstruction breaker.
This Lagos Born turntable wizard has been ready to cut a specialty for himself by putting out different blends and mixed tapes to improve his image. Till date, DJ Kaywise has gathered more than 3010 mixed tapes, which has coursed crosswise over various parts of Nigeria and Africa. His most prominent mixed tape was titled ‘Emergency’; it included a weighty accumulation of prevalent Nigerian hit tunes.
Prominently known as the most youthful DJ in Lagos, Kaywise has put in years sharpening and building up his art as a performing DJ. Ololade Valentina Abuta was born on the 14th of February in Festac town, Lagos State, Nigeria. Ololade is a serial entrepreneur. She is one of the fast-rising Real Estate Gurus in Nigeria.

Adegoke Pamilerin Emmanuel also known as ThePamilerin aka Omo ologi is a Social Media Influencer/ Digital Marketer. He commands a reputable presence on social media with a distinctive talent for pushing brands and influencing viral trends.
Notable big names like Airtel, Glo, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, AdekunleGold have patronized him and his consulting firm (The State Agency) which consists of a number of top social media influencers across Nigeria.
ThePamilerin got a nationwide buzz when he got slapped by superstar music artiste, Peruzzi and that further showed his influence as it got every lips talking until Peruzzi and international artiste and label owner, DAVIDO, apologized to him via different means. He has been nominated for several awards in times past and has won 12.
Fashola Azeez is one of Nigeria’s controversial celebrities. He is a songwriter and singer popularly known as the president of the “Marlians”, a trend name created for his fans and followers. Naira Marley was born on May 9, 1994 and later moved to Peckham, South London when he was just 11 years of age. He came entirely into the spotlight after discharging his tune which was one of the World glass melodies of the year titled ‘Issa Goal’ ft. He also nominated at city people’s awards for Artiste of the year 2019 and his song SOAPY was nominated as the street song of the year 2019.
On December 18, 2019 he released his Album LOL – Lord Of Lamba of which one of the songs “ Tesumole “ has been fascinating his audience also accompanied by its energetic dance moves. On the 30th of December he held the Marlian Fest which is fans where highly present. Naira Marley is of heavy influence within the trendy generation so much that his February 2020 show in London had sold out since November, 2019. How he has been able to influence even fellow celebrities, notable among who are WIZKID, RMD, DJ CUPPY and many more to be MARLIANS remains a mystery.
David Adedeji Adeleke (born November 21, 1992), who is better known as Davido, is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. Davido was born in Atlanta, US, and raised in Lagos; In April 2017, he released five singles including “If” and “Fall”. “Fall” became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history.
Davido released his second studio album A Good Time in November 2019. Davido has won for himself 42 awards from 87 nominations which include BET awards for best international act in 2018, Headies award for artists of the year 2018, MTV Europe award for best African act 2017 to mention a few.
In 2019, he engaged his girlfriend, Chioma and dropped heavy songs like Blow My Mind which featured American act, Chris Brown and also Risky which featured Popcaan. Blow My Mind, got 2m views on YouTube in first day of release a feat no Nigerian artiste has met or surpassed yet.
His influence as a youth is more impressed by his cult followership on Instagram with almost 15 million followers and the ability to turn DMW into a name hundreds of youths wear as a badge. With over 4 active endorsements, brands fight to have DAVIDO associate with them as they know with him, they will get the desired mileage. He is reportedly paid 27 million naira for AD posts on his Instagram page.
Adepeju Olukokun is a young man in his 30’s who has dedicated his time, money and efforts to see that the hungry do not go to bed hungry. He is the founder of continental “Kokun Foundation” which is aimed at providing quality food for the needy and the poor.
His foundation which has been working towards ending hunger and poverty in the nation is known for its humanitarian roles in the society, and by 2019 had toured over 25 states of the federation to give out deliciously cooked meals on a daily basis for lots of people where both young and old gets to be satisfied.
Olukokun came up with the idea for the foundation on his birthday three years ago, and with the help of his like-minded team consisting Adetona Ademola, Okegbemi Olusoji and Lawal Titi, kicked off the non-profit organization’s operation in January 2016 by going on outreaches to destitute homes. They started by funding with money from their own pockets, but it didn’t take too long for the team to earn recognition for their work winning a True Heroesaward, as their operation began to expand to IDP camps, and prisons.

Dr. DIPO’s influence is a major avenue of the streets of Twitter and ma my youths in. Nigeria wait on his comment on general issues like a meal.
Adebo Ogundoyin born on February 18, 1987, is a lawmaker from Ibarapa East constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party.
He emerged the speaker of the 9th Assembly on the 10th of June 2019. From his assumption of office, he hit the ground running, engaging youths in different platforms and also supporting his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, in creating a better Oyo State.
Adebo was among the 100 youths celebrated in Nigeria on the 17th of January at the Royal Awards. His influence goes beyond his Oyo State catchment as many see him as a reason to join the #NotToYoungToRun movement.
Mr Obinna Iyiegbu Is an Entrepreneur and a club owner. He is the Chairman and CEO of Cubana Group, unarguably the biggest Hospitalty chain in Nigeria at the moment.
